Didsbury Arts Festival

Didsbury Arts festival is a volunteer led multi arts festival celebrating creative culture in Didsbury, through working with local, national and international artists.

We are a biennial festival. The next edition will take place from 22 June - 30 June 2019. The festival theme will be Roots. If you would like to join the 2019 team, please get in touch.

Emily and Anne are an independent, award winning animation duo, making short films in-between freelance contracts and animating on television shows for CBeebies, Channel 5 and CBBC. Their films have screened at many festivals worldwide and won a total of 11 awards. For this commission they collaberated with sound artist Billy Payne.

Lost in the Woods was an animation shadow box, influenced by Joseph Cornell, fairytales, and the mix of countryside, suburbia and city. The physical space was made from a range of unusual materials, with animation screened behind it to create an ethereal atmosphere.
